This past weekend I attended Fused Underground hosted by Jerks Production. The show was held at Tattooed Mom on South Street in Philadelphia. This was my first time at this bar and was pleasantly surprised at it's awesomeness. This was a great opportunity to get out and meet some new people and display some new personal work. I got my "Uni-Panda-Corn" out into the world and boy, were they appreciated. You couldn't help but be struck by their glittery awesomeness. The original's were not for sale because they already have a home in the nursery of Dan and I's Daughter, who is currently growing and kicking away in my belly. I did however have prints available (and still do, go check out my store and pick yours up today!) Choosing to display close to the bathroom was a blessing and a curse, since most people just thought I was in line for the bathroom. However, the one place almost everyone goes in a bar is to the bathroom so there was no escaping my panda's. I had a blast and got to meet some really awesome people. Krissy Whiski was also posted up in the same room as myself, and is now the proud owner of one my "Uni-Panda-Corn"s. Jerks Production put on a great show, were incredibly helpful and it was just overall a great experience. Looking forward to attending the next event on August 5th on First Friday, come check everyone out and pick up your very own print!
We were also celebrating my hubby's birthday! So glad to have him, my sister-in-law and mother-in-law there for support!
Have not been taking a lot of design work lately, and have been spending a lot of time tattooing but this is some recent work that I have done for a up and coming electrician and his new business.
Had a lot of fun working on this job. It was an awesome experience being able to work with a client that is a few states away and still be able to provide them with exactly what they are looking for. Also to be a part of their identity for their new business!
My face isn't always stuck to the computer screen, when it's not I still find myself immersed in art. If you've had the chance to check out the "About" section you'll know this about me. The blog is my way of sharing what A Creative Design Company is up to. What we are capable of and what fun projects we have going on. Right now, we are in the process of sign contracts with some new projects and some personal side projects. Here is peak at what we have going on right now. Some simple illustration work.
Started off as just a small sketch, while working with a client and later evolved into this...
This is also something included in our services, commissioned work as well as custom illustration for your business.
By doing small creative works like this, it enables us to stay fresh and break free from any restrictions. I have personally found this helpful during a "creative block." When you can't focus on the task at hand, just pick up a pen and doodle. The line work is freeing and making mistakes isn't even an option because it is not about getting it "right". It's about just doing, so follow Shia's expert advice.
